The Sun is Still Shining in Moab

It may be winter in Moab, but the sun has peeked through the clouds and has managed to melt most of the snow here at Sheri Griffith Expeditions. This time of year we keep warm by reading, re-writing, editing and re-reading all of our whitewater rafting trip information to make sure that everything is accurate and typo-free. There is something about reading through a day to day itinerary of a Cataract Canyon rafting trip that helps warm a person up, even when the temps outside are around freezing. We read about the warm water, the big sandy beaches, the hike to the top of the Doll's House in Canyonlands National Park and we can't help but remember the warmth of the sun as it warms us as we float gently along in Meander Canyon on the Colorado River and dries us after we crash through the Big Drops.

Of course, reading about our trips gives us a bit of cabin fever, and we want to get out and play. This morning I found a good way to remind myself that it really is winter in Moab:
